How We Work

Design

At Staircom, each stair is meticulously designed in house by our design team, their combined years of experience & leadership, coupled with a youthful team of skilled, eager designers, makes Staircom the industry leader.

With state-of-the-art design software we can produce full CAD drawings for manufacture, as well as 3D concept drawings for our customers. We are always developing this area of our business to provide YOU, the customer with the very best experience possible, while continually setting a standard for the rest of the Stair industry to follow.

Our Manufacturing

Using the most advanced equipment the stair industry has to offer, we have invested heavily into 2 brand new Homag 5 axis machines. The first one arriving way back in 2012, giving us a distinct advantage over the rest of the industry & leading the way with advanced CNC machining.

Such was the success, our second machine arrived in late 2017, further advancing our edge in the marketplace and increasing our manufacturing capacity. These solid investments along with other machinery upgrades have us in a strong position as the demand increases.

Staircom Care + Maintenance

Our philosophy is simple, we only make Staircases that last. Over their lifetime our Stairs will need a little care and attention to ensure they can be enjoyed by generations to come. The following information will help you care for your Staircom Staircase and Balustrade in the best possible way.

Material Care

Timber with an oil finish

Timber is a natural product that will respond to its environmental conditions. We recommend you avoid extreme variation in temperature and humidity as well as contact with liquids and heat. Regularly wipe timber to remove dust and dirt. Do not leave liquid to sit on timber surfaces as it will penetrate and may cause staining. Wipe up spills immediately with a damp cloth. The tone of the timber will alter over time with exposure to UV light, please protect timber from direct or reflected sunlight. Do not use cleaners or polishes as these may cause permanent damage or colour variation to your Staircase. Take care when placing or moving unglazed ceramics or furniture and appliances with an irregular base finish as they may scratch and damage your staircase.  Depending on the position of the staircase and the conditions within your home, we recommend treating with a nourishing oil once a year. Before you begin oiling, place a protective layer below the staircase to collect any drips and always test the oil on an inconspicuous area of the staircase before applying.

Powder coated Metal

Regularly wipe metal with a damp soft cloth to remove particles which can abrade the surface with wear. Avoid contact with liquid, heat and direct sunlight. Abrasive cleaning products are not recommended.

Glass

Regularly wipe glass and mirrored surfaces with a clean lint free cloth. Windex can be used to remove any difficult marks or stains
